Forest County Job Center-Expansion Complete

Open House Planned for Tuesday, March 8, 2016

12:00pm to 6:00pm


The Forest County Job Center has just finished the expansion.  A resource room for job counseling, training and other opportunities will be available.  Within the next 4 weeks a position of 20 hours a week will be in place to further the services we are able to provide.  The Forest County Job Center will be open 8am to 4:00pm Tuesday and Wednesday and 8:00am to 12:00pm on Thursday.  The Resource Room will be available for trainings and other organizations for use.

Collaboration has been key to this process.  Many have donated time and materials for the center.  Blackwell Job Corps Students and staff did the bulk of the construction.  Staff and volunteers made up the rest of the construction crew.  The key collaborators have been the Forest County Chamber of Commerce, Forest County Potawatomi Community, K2 Pro Signs, Job Center of Wisconsin, Blackwell Job Corps, Forest County Board of Supervisors, Forward Services, North Central Wisconsin Workforce Development Board, Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development and Mike Gruett.

The Forest County Economic Development Partnership Job Center, offers job-seekers, students, businesses and career professionals access to a comprehensive array of employment-related services and tools in one convenient location. Anyone in the area can utilize resources such as career counseling, career planning, resume assistance and on-the-job-training and much more.

Area employers are encouraged to send job opening to the center for publication and listings to Forest County Residents.  Our goal is to bring the businesses and workers in Forest County together through connections and shared resources.
