Job Center of Wisconsin Will Begin Staffing Forest County Workforce Development Center

Starting July 15th & 29th, 2015, Job Center of Wisconsin will be providing Bi-Monthly staffing at the Forest County Economic Development Partnership Workforce Development Center.  The hours will be 9:00AM to 3:00PM.  I

The Forest County Economic Development Partnership Workforce Development Center, offers job-seekers, students, businesses and career professionals access to a comprehensive array of employment-related services and tools in one convenient location. Residents of Forest County can utilize resources such as career counseling, career planning, resume assistance, direct job placement, classroom and on-the-job-training, unemployment compensation and much more.

Area employers are encouraged to send job opening to the center for publication and listings to Forest County Residents.  Are goal is to bring the businesses and workers in Forest County together through connections and shared resources.

Workforce Development is the right hand of economic development because it ensures Forest County has a globally competitive workforce that encourages business growth or relocation. Successfully retaining or recruiting businesses is vital to the region economy. Workforce Development’s role in this process is in anticipating and delivering the types of education and training that will be needed now and in the future to meet demands from our target industries.
Whether you want help finding a job, gaining additional skills, or starting a business we can help you.  We can assist people with their employment, education, or small-business management needs. Regardless of whether you are just starting out in your career or are a seasoned professional, we will help to find information and resources to meet your needs. You will be asked about your skills, abilities, and needs. You will be assisted in creating a simple plan to help you reach your immediate career goals. You will also be provided with information and resources that may address many of your needs, including job leads, effective job search techniques, résumé or curriculum vitae writing, networking opportunities, school programs, financial aid, or information about small-business management.  You will have the chance to participate in workshops and meetings that are hosted by the center. These include networking meetings and other scheduled events such as career fairs.

We can help local businesses find qualified employees to meet the needs of your business.  Just let us know what positions you have open and we will help find those workers.

The goal is to also partnership with the libraries throughout the county to insure all residents are able to get job and career information.  Staff will be making appointments in other areas of the county to help those that are not able to get to the Workforce Development Center in Crandon.
